Hey Friend, I'm Mayra!
I am a family photographer based in Houston, TX. I'm married to my life-long adventure partner, Nate, and we have two beautiful daughters, who are our whole world.
When I am not taking pictures or editing, I can be found at home catching up on the latest episode of Succession, at my daughter's cheer practice, reading at book, soaking up the sun by my pool, overspending at Target, or traveling with my family.
I'm passionate about documenting all the "in-between" moments of life. I thrive on intimate, emotional moments and I feel it's my purpose in life to preserve people's stories through my art. My hope is that your gallery will be an anchor to return to in both times of celebration and times of struggle.
Get to know me
I'm happily married to my husband, Nate. You'll usually find us binge watching a new show, in a sushi restaurant, or soaking up the sun by our pool.
We have two beautiful girls and a rambunctious miniature schnauzer, Alfred. Our seven year old is full of energy and not even cheerleading will tire her down. Our four year old is super sweet and will ask you to play with her especially if she sees you playing Roblox.
As a family, we love traveling and exploring but also love and enjoy being at home.
